Dear Parent / Carer,
On Friday 3rd May, Year 2 will be taking a walk around Colden Common to investigate green spaces . We will be paying particular attention to the pond areas and the allotments. As part of our project 'Sowing the Seeds for Positive Change', we are looking into ways that we can develop the sustainability aspect of our school. We are currently learning about growing our own fruit and vegetables and collecting rainwater to use to water our plants. We will be looking for sustainable features around the Colden Common environment as part of our walk. If you are a volunteer at the school and would like to join us on Friday afternoon (1am - 2.30pm) please speak to your child's class teacher.
