Year 2 - The Great Fire of London

What an amazing first day we've had in Year 2. We started the day by finding out about houses in London in 1666. We then made our own Tudor style houses out of cardboard boxes and masking tape before painting them. We were feeling really proud of our creations!

In the afternoon, we recreated the Great Fire of London by starting a fire in our very own Pudding Street. We were amazed at how quickly the fire spread.

Parents/carers - ask your child:

- Where did the Great Fire of London start?

- Why did the fire spread so quickly through London?

- Why did they decide to blow houses up?

We still have lots more learning about the Great Fire of London, so don't panic if they don't know all the answers!
