Today Year 5 and 6 have had a fantastic day at Itchen Valley Forest school, engaging with the environment.
We took part in a whole host of outdoor activities:
Woodland walk (with den building competition!)
Catapult challenge - we needed to protect our precious egg from the wrath of the catapult
Natural filtration of dirty water (none of us wanted to drink the water...even after we'd filtered it with natural resources!)
Investigation of fire lighting and combustion - the wire wool was entrancing!
We even managed to toast some marshmallows around the fire. What a fun filled, exciting day!
